You have a role to play

Judges 5:7 The inhabitants of the villages ceased, they ceased in Israel, until that I Deborah arose, that I arose a mother in Israel.

I have always believed that life is like a play and we all have our own individual roles to play. There are scripts written by God for everyone of us to act out and our impact will only be felt by others if only we can take time to discover from God our own script and be determined not only to act out our own script but also be discipline enough to stick to what is written concerning us.

Balak would probably not have been able to discover himself talkless of leading an army if a certain Deborah did not rise up to fulfil her own role as a mother in Israel. Our time on this side of eternity is limited so we therefore need to truly live before we leave, it is in your living that someone out there can be fulfilled because whether we like it or not; there is an invisible umbilical cord that connects us together.

The answer to the question in the heart and life of someone might just be in your possession. Beloved of God, in the kingdom nothing just happens, everything is planned out by a meticulous God. And the earlier you get up the better for you and for those whose destinies are tied to your apron.

You are not a product of biological accident, you are rather a well thought out secret weapon of God. ( Jer 1:5). God dint allow you to be introduced into this sphere if there was not some purpose to your life. We are not experiencing the Balaks the Joshuas, the Jehu’s, the Elishas ,the Pauls , the Esthers of this generation? They are yet to manifest because their fore runners are yet to enter into their own purposes and act the scripts written concerning them.( Heb 10:7)

Its time to get up and play your role . Remember “For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.” ROM 8:19

A Minister and A Witness

Acts 26:16 But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;

The purpose of God calling you into His service is not just for you to be a minister but to also be a witness . A witness is a proof of the occurrence of an event. He is the evidence that will bring the necessary conviction that the said event really occurred. Cases are thrown out no matter how wonderful the prosecutor or judge might believe in a case; once there is no tangible witness the simile good case will get thrown out.

What ever is the message that God has called you to minister to His people you also need to pray that you should be a witness of it. Thomas never believed till he saw the wounds. How do you want people to believe in the efficacy of the power of the gospel when they are not seeing it in our lives.

I know God does not use and dump His vessels and that’s the more reason I will like us to pray and look up to Him this morning to make you a partaker of every good thing He has been helping you to minister to His people. Remember the earnest expectation of the whole world is on you . ( Rom 8:19)

In this month of acceptance you shall manifest in Jesus name.

Jehovah- Jireh

Genesis 22:2 And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.

Genesis 22:14 And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.

It will be absolutely impossible to separate God’s provision from His assignment for your life. God will only fund His strategy and vision I believe thats why its called ” pro- vision “.

God gave Abraham a specific instruction concerning his assignment and the location for the performance of that assignment. It was so specific that the eventual provision of God for the assignment was ” seen in that location”.

Your assignment is a specific one and that is why it will be an effort in futility to attempt using other people people’s as a yard stick and strategy in carrying out God’s assignment or purpose for your life.

Part of the specifics of the assignment is location. A wise man once said ” its those whose need pushes you into the wilderness that you are sent to” . You weren’t sent everywhere neither were you sent yo everybody.(selah).

You can never be fruitful in a location that you were not sent to. Because you will be acting in disobedience. So as much as the King’s matter required haste, take time to find out from Him the “what and where ” of His agenda for your life, business, career etc; only then can you truly represent Him and get fulfilment .

Remember Jehovah Jireh means ” In the mount of the LORD it( fulfilment and provision) shall be seen.

Righteous Lot?

Genesis 18:32 And he said, Oh let not the LORD be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for ten’s sake.

2 Peter 2:7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:

I have often wondered the rationale behind Abraham not going below 10 righteous persons while interceding for Sodom and Gomorrah. It suddenly occurred to me that father Abraham would have expected that Lot and his family should have been able to affect at least additional 6 persons in the way of the God of Israel. But unfortunately even members of his immediate family had issues.

We are meant to be salt and light of the world, we were created not only to be heavenly conscious but also to be able to make positive impacts in the environment we find ourselves. Wherever you find yourself is your personal pulpit. And God expect you to be able to affect the people around you with the light of the gospel.

I want to believe if Lot had been able to make disciples of some persons in Sodom and Gomorrah, he would have had people to defend him and his visitors when certain people came to attack him and his guest but the opposite was the case.

The whole world is waiting for your manifestation. Get up from your slumber and let the people around you feel the impact of the eternal love of Jesus . Don’t just be the righteous and not be able to reproduce same in the life of those around you.

Total Obedience =Great blessings

Genesis 12:1-3″ Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.”

There is no short cut to receiving from God, as loving and merciful as God is; He won’t lower His standard because of any individual as a matter of fact Jesus dying on the cross is a proof that God won’t lower His standard to accommodate yours, except through the instrumentality of His mercy.

He that was without sin became sin so that you can become the righteousness of God, He became a curse so that you can live your life curse less etc. This and many more are proofs that God has standards and only mercy can break.

For Abram to access the blessings that God had planned for him, he will need to first obey the instructions of God. Check out anyone that seemed to be “blessed” but living in rebellion , you will discover they are also living I’m misery because its only the blessings that comes from God as a by product of total obedience that makes rich without sorrow.

Prayer and fasting, tithe and offering cannot replace total obedience to His instruction for your life. Saul was a wonderful King, loved by his people but unfortunately he choose to please the people at the expense of obeying God. Mind you, when the repercussion for disobeying God comes, the same people he was trying to please turned their back against him.

In a matter of your destiny. In a matter of your relationship with God, the only people that matters is you and God. So never allow pleasing men make you disobey your maker. No one was there when God decided to create you( Selah)

My assignment this morning is to jolt you to the truth that pleasing God is the key to the blessings without sorrow.

You before your gifts

Genesis 4:4 -5″And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering: But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell”.

So much emphasis is laid on working for God, giving to God etc and in the process we often forget that God is more interested in your person more than whatever you have to offer in terms of gift or services. In this the church have not been helpful in that we compound the life of an average church worker with so much activities so much that his personal relationship is negated.

Whatever you have to offer in terms of gift or service to God should be borne out of your relationship with your maker. The characters in our focal scriptures above had gifts to offer to their maker but the difference between them was that , the person of Abel was accepted while that of Cain was not. You must first be accepted before your gifts can be accepted.

Personal altar have been replaced with corporate prayer meetings, we feel more comfortable in attending church activities than our personal time of communion with our maker. Until you take your personal relationship with Him more seriously everything you have to offer in terms of service and gift will be fruitless.

Mind you there is absolutely nothing that is wrong in our keeping to the assembly of ourselves as commanded by God but you need to seek to be accepted and then your gift will be meaningful. God is much more interested in relationship than service.

Remember this is your month of acceptance. Heaven will send a word ahead of you to those that are ordained to help you in Jesus name .

Limited vs Limitless

Genesis 2:16 -17″And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.”

John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Often time while executing the assignment of God for our lives, there is the tendency of us to begin see our selves as super human. God will always empower His project and at times people begin to see the executor of the project as someone that is infallible.

There is no human being that is infallible, no man is limitless, those are attributes reserved exclusively for the maker of all things. The moment you begin to see yourself as infallible then you are already on your way to destruction. Little wonder when a Christian falls, people around him/ her begin to castigate him rather than help him to get up, perhaps he must have portrayed himself as infallible or the people assumed that the believer is a limitless.

When God created man, before handling him his first assignment, He had to let him know his limitations. The first instruction from God to man was to bring to his understanding his limitation and also to let Him know that he can’t do without God.

Yes you are a joint heir with Christ but you need to constantly see yourself as one who is under authority . You derive your ability and strength from Him, we are not sufficient on our own, our sufficiency is of Him. That also implies that if you fall on this pilgrimage, you should be humble enough to go back yo God. You are not superman so don’t let anyone make you feel otherwise.

You need God now and you will always need Him all through. You are limited while He is limitless.

Season of Acceptance

Isaiah 61:2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

Proverbs 16:7 When a man’s ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.

One of the yearnings in the heart of everyone is a desire to be accepted in the place or among those that mattered especially when it has to do our relationships, business and purpose in life. But often time we tend to make the mistake of not knowing that only God can make you or your business to be acceptable.

It is the person that you pleasured that will ultimately promote you, and that explain the reason why you must take your relationship with God who is always the determining factor very serious if you really want to get to that desired height of yours. Doing and staying in the will of God is the easiest and surest way of getting accepted. If your ways pleases God, He will make even those who hitherto had rejected you to start looking for you.

There is nothing you have that someone else does not possess, there are persons with similar skills and ability but only God can make yours to become distinct and also orchestrate situation that will warrant the need for only you and your gift/skills.

It’s never to late to make pleasing God your utmost priority this year. Remember without Him, you can do nothing. Ensure that you make the Spirit of God your senior partner this year and only then can you be able to achieve your set goals. Your numero uno goal this year should be Him.

The moment you become accepted then everything about you will also be accepted. The Lord will have me declare to you that THIS IS YOUR MONTH OF ACCEPTANCE.

This month men will accept you, wherever you have been rejected they shall send for you in the name of Jesus. No more rejection in the mighty name of Jesus. Men shall compete wit themselves to favour you from today in the mighty name of Jesus. You , your business, your skill shall be the preferred in the name of Jesus.

How far can you go?

Galatians 6:17
“From now on let no person trouble me [by making it necessary for me to vindicate my apostolic authority and the divine truth of my Gospel], for I bear on my body the [brand] marks of the Lord Jesus [the wounds, scars, and other outward evidence of persecutions–these testify to His ownership of me]! ( Amplified)

Growing up in my relationship with God I have come across so many ” bread and butter” Christians whose knowledge of the person of God is so shallow. All they know about Him puts Him in the same class with Santa Claus – father Christmas. And as such once things go awry they are quick to complain and want to throw in the towel. They study or read their bibles just to get the promises of God, they are not interested in getting instructions, and the irony of life is such that if you avoid instruction you will definitely encounter destruction.

Being a Christian gives you a competitive edge to be able to face whatever life throws at you in the form of challenges, it rather does not exempt you from challenges. The very life of God is in the inside of you, a and therefore you won’t loose any battle or challenge.

The Apostle Paul went through a lot of challenges not necessarily to prove his Apostleship, but rather to let us know that he also went through seasons of inconvenience in his life as a Christian and he’s got scars on his body to show for it. He was not going to compromise his stand or status iin the face of whatsoever life throws at him. He stood his ground and today we read Paul in the epistles.

The question this morning my wonderful friend is” are you ready to take a stand for Christ ” it’s only then can you quote our focal scripture .

Think outside the box

John 5:6-7″ When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.”

Have you ever heard of that phrase” there are many ways to skin a cat”. To a large extent that statement could actually help you out of a very ugly situation.

The man in our focal scripture above has been in a terrible situation for over 38 years and unfortunately he has confined himself into a very rigid believe system such that he believed that the only way out of his pain is that he must get into the pool before he can receive solution to his problem. His believed system is so rigid to the extent that he was willing to remain by the pool till he gets someone to push him into the water.

Christianity is not a stereotyped way of life but rather a lifestyle of constantly depending on God for direction and strategies on how not only to live heavenly but to also be earthly relevant. There are more than one alphabet, so if A dint work; you have 24 other alphabets. If the first idea dint work then ask God for more insight into other ideas.

You have made several attempt at getting a job and it has been so fruitless, why not think of creating a job instead. God wont divide the red sea again because he gave us brain to build bridges.

Look that scenario again and see jow Jesus re- orientated the man by healing him without him jumping or been pushed into the pool. Jesus would have simply helped him into the pool but rather He choose to show him an alternative.
