Be Consistent

Job 13:15 Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.

Revelation 3:15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot

The Christian race is not a 100m dash that you can simply run and get to the finish line in a record time depending on how well you have practiced, it’s rather like a marathon with a lot of detours on the way some of which will keep you on track while some have the ability to take you away from the path that God has designed for you.

It’s a race that often time takes you to unknown terrains that you never thought exists. It’s a race that often time there are tendencies for you to get discouraged. The Character in the focal scripture, said something that is actually the key to our been able to conclude the race. He spoke of his resolve to be Consistent in his relationship with God irrespective of whatever detours or challenges he might come across on the prigrimage .

Our consistency in our relationship with God is the key and the only way you can successfully trod the journey and come out victorious. Today we have a crop of believers that are been spoon-fed so much that they depend on their pastors, prophets for everything and as such when faced with certain detours ( challenges) they find it so easy to blame their pastors and also throw in the towel. And in some cases move to another church or pastor/prophet.

The 3 Hebrew boys echoed what Job said Daniel 3:17-18 “If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.”

Consistency in the place of prayer, consistency in the pursuit of your purpose irrespective of the picture the enemy is showing you, consistency in the kingdom business no matter on which side of the bed you woke up in the morning; is what you need to be able to come out victorious in this marathon.

Have a great week
